Anita Case, Gets a Job
Anita Case sat at her desk and looked at the files on it.
There were a lot of them. She felt sad.
She thought about the past several weeks.
When Ace Detective Agency hired her, she was so excited!
She really wanted to be a detective!
But she still wasn't one.
And her job wasn't exciting.
Her job was to look at old case files.
Then she had to put them in the right places.
Anita's office was in a dark basement.
No one else worked down there.
She felt very alone.
Then the door opened. Anita looked up and smiled.
A man walked in and dropped more files on her desk.
Then he walked out the door without saying anything.
Anita looked at the newest ones.
One file fell on the floor.
Some of the papers and a black and white photo fell out of the file.
Anita picked up the papers and the photo.
She looked at the photo.
Then she looked at the report.
As she put them back into the file, something caught her eye.
She looked at the report more carefully.
Then she looked at the photo again.
Anita picked up the phone.
"Hi, Mike. This is Anita," she said.
"I found something interesting in an old case file. Can I show it to you?"
OK, how about in 15 minutes at the cafe?"

案管員安妮塔著坐在她的辦公桌前，看著桌上的案卷。
桌上有很多案卷，她覺得很雞過。心裏想著過去這幾個星期。
頂尖偵探社雇用她的時候，她是多麼與奮啊！
她真心想要成為一名偵探！但她現在還不是，而且她現在的工作也不刺激。
她的工作是檢視舊案卷，然後歸檔到正確的地方。
安妮塔的辦公室在一間陰暗的地下室裡，沒有其他人在那裡工作。她覺得非常孤單。
接著，門打開了。安妮塔抬起頭，臉上露出微笑。
一名男子走了進来，把更多案卷丟在她的桌子上，然後話也没說就走出了門外。安
起塔看看那些最新的案卷，其中一份案卷掉在地板上，
裏面有些文件以及一张黑白照片滑了出来。
安妮塔撿起那些文件還有那張照片。
她看了看那張照片，然後看了一下報告，
就在她把這些東西放回案卷裡的時候，卻然注意到一個東西。
她更仔細地看了那份報告一遍，然後又看了一眼那張照片，安妮塔舉起話筒。
「嗨，麥可，我是安妮塔」她說，
「我在一份舊案卷裏發现了一件有意思的事情，我可以拿给你看嗎?
好，十五分鐘後在咖啡店見好嗎?」
